AddressThe Project Manager is to lead the delivery of major technology projects and work collaboratively across all areas of digital and data team , and with stakeholders across the Government to ensure effective delivery of projects and digital initiatives.
The client is looking for Project Managers who have worked at a senior level within large complex organisations to deliver previous COTS/SAAS projects. These contracts are initially for 12+ months with a possible 6-month extension as the projects are due to be delivered in 18 months. This is a Brisbane CBD location. 3 days working in the office.
Responsibilities
- As a Project Manager your role will be to further scope, plan and deliver a range of COTS/SAAS projects from inception to completion including vendor selection and negotiation.
- Take delivery responsibility for a number of mid-sized projects and/or digital initiatives, often concurrently, in accordance with the delivery frameworks, processes and tools to ensure deliverables are completed within the agreed baseline and that the expected stakeholder outcomes are achieved.
- Build and manage a team of experts to support delivery.
- Work closely with Senior Execs in IT and in the business to ensure expectations are aligned, everyone is informed of project progress and ensure project teams and vendors deliver.
Desired Background
- Extensive Project Management experience running large scale and complex projects from conception to completion.
- Previous experience in large COTS/SAAS implementations.
- Extensive project management methodology expertise but you can also navigate the fine balance between best practice and efficient execution.
- Take delivery responsibility for a number of mid-sized to large projects and/or digital initiatives, often concurrently, in accordance with the delivery frameworks, processes and tools to ensure deliverables are completed within the agreed baseline and that the expected stakeholder outcomes are achieved.
- You are an adaptable Project Manager who can work in dynamic environments and navigate complex solutions and varying levels of business maturity with ease.
