Join our growing Defence and National Security team
We have a dedicated Defence & National Security team that provide a variety of services to our Defence clients that include the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), Estate and Infrastructure Group (E&IG) and Joint Capabilities Group. Our team of specialists partner with our clients to implement sustainable, pragmatic and tangible solutions to complex problems.

The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Project Managers, preferably with Defence Capability Life Cycle experience on Maritime projects, to join our growing team in Canberra.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining effective client and stakeholder relationships
- Contributing to the development of project documentation to meet Defence requirements as well as the process for capability acquisition
- Working within a project team to enable the delivery of multiple and diverse projects to ensure quality, time and cost outcomes are achieved
- These roles will be part of a Beca project team that is co-located with our client, in their offices.
What we’ll like about you
We are seeking candidates that have:
- Experience working in a project management role, preferably within a Defence or government environment
- An ability to be flexible and work effectively within a small team environment
- A desire to learn and build on their existing project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders
- Relevant or related engineering and/or project management qualification
- Due to the nature and sensitivity of our projects, it is mandatory for the successful candidate to hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance at Baseline level or higher
While not essential, candidates will be highly regarded if they have:
- Delivered projects within Defence Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) and/or Royal Australian Navy (RAN)
- Exposure to projects that included requirements definition and the acquisition process, including the management of procurement and hand over processes
- Project Management Registration with Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM)
