Project Manager, Impact Assessment

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Project Manager, Impact Assessment to support local councils in undertaking Impact Assessments following the October 2022 flood event.
About the business unit
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria.
DJCS Emergency Management includes the department's emergency management accountabilities delivered through Emergency Management Victoria, Emergency Recovery Victoria, Sector Performance and Reform and emergency management statutory entities and offices. The work of the group supports the emergency management sector to work together and to strengthen the capacity of individuals, communities, government, agencies and business to achieve our shared vision of safer and more resilient communities and to rebuild and recover after an emergency.
About the role
This role requires the ability to combine project delivery, stakeholder management skills and a flexible mindset to meet organisational needs. The role will involve supporting Impact Assessments and contribute to the design and implementation of a future operational model for Victoria. In doing so, this role will work closely with internal and external project stakeholders (including Government departments, partners and agencies).
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
* Demonstrated experience in project management and delivery, ideally in the state or local government sectors.
* Experience in emergency recovery is desirable.
* Experience in leading operational changes through an organisation/sector.
Qualifications
* A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.
