Your Role:
As a Project Manager, you'll lead two significant projects: nearly 200 townhouses valued at approximately $100 million for a top Australian ASX-listed developer. This position entails managing project timelines and budgets, under the guidance of an experienced Construction Manager. We're looking for a professional with a background in commercial contract administration and project management, ready to step into a leadership role, displaying outstanding management and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Your involvement will span current and future projects, with responsibilities in the following areas:
- Oversee and deliver two major residential projects, ensuring completion within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Work closely with the Construction Manager and stakeholders, offering expert project management.
- Efficiently manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Prioritise safety, quality, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members.
- Regularly update the Management Team to ensure a smooth transition from construction to occupation.
What We're Looking For:
- A solid background in commercial contract administration, with at least 3 years of project management experience.
- A proven track record in applying skills to residential projects, especially medium-density townhouses.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or a related field.
- Experience with Jobpac, Cheops, MS Project, and an understanding of AS 4300 or similar commercial contracts.
- A solid understanding of legal aspects and contract administration in construction.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and negotiation skills, with a focus on high standards.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and goal-driven, with a commitment to excellence in project delivery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong understanding of domestic construction principles.
