About the Role
Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from initiation to completion. This role involves managing all aspects of the project, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and ensuring quality standards are met. The Construction Project Manager collaborates with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams, to ensure project success within the defined scope, timeline, and budget.
There are a variety of requirements to perform for this role including but not limited to:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project specifications and requirements are understood and integrated.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project expenditures, track costs, and implement cost control measures.
- Evaluate change orders and variations and manage their impact on project budgets.
- Allocate resources efficiently, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Maintain effective communication channels among project stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve scheduling conflicts and prioritize tasks.
- Implement strategies to optimize construction sequencing and improve project efficiency.
- Collaborate with safety personnel to develop and enforce site-specific safety plans.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations and protocols.
- Prepare and present project status reports, highlighting key metrics, risks, and challenges.
- Foster open communication channels to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment among project participants.
- Facilitate effective communication between design teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years Project Management experience, preferably in remote construction.
- Mining construction experience highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and people management skills.
- Professional and personable approach.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide leadership through industry and market changes and challenges.
- Highly developed computer literacy skills and project specific software.
- High level analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in delivering $20M+ projects.
