About the Breathing Apparatus Cylinder Exchange Project:
The Breathing Apparatus (BA) Cylinder Exchange Project at CFA will introduce the ability to Swap and Go cylinders, to support flexible operations and reduce volunteer downtime, as a strategy to manage the movements of Breathing Apparatus equipment throughout the organisation.
About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager for a twelve month period, to take responsibility for scoping and overseeing the successful introduction and delivery of the statewide BA Cylinder Exchange Program. This role involves managing the needs of operational staff, secondees and volunteers to provide a solution that works in both brigade and digital CFA environments.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Recommend and implement a statewide Cylinder Exchange Process (Swap and Go) that builds on existing processes.
- Confirm the Cylinder Exchange Project scope and maintain high-quality project management documentation, including project plan, communication plan, project reports, implementation plans, and project schedules.
- Identify and document project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Identify and select the technology to ensure the recommended solution has the capacity to support and complement Fleet and Protective Equipment operating systems, project objectives and strategies.
- Manage and implement quality assurance processes and activities.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge, expertise and demonstrated program/project management experience and delivery success working in a complex environment. You will be tertiary qualified in social science, humanities or a relevant discipline and PRINCE2 or PMP qualification is desirable. Superior project management expertise is crucial, as is the ability to influence and build organisational and team capability.
Further requirements include:
- Ability to prepare and present exceptional and professional project management reporting and briefing materials for senior management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to successfully manage and influence stakeholder relationships and engagement.
- An understanding of risk management and ability to identify and manage a broad range of risks and business dependencies.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and demonstrated innovative approach.
