We are seeking a Project Manager, Regional Development – Social to join the team at Queensland Hydro as we continue to strive for excellence in engineering, environmental and social outcomes developing pumped hydro assets that Queenslanders are proud to own.
The Queensland Hydro Regional Development Team has carriage of several interrelated work streams:
- Housing and Accommodation.
- Community Infrastructure (including Direct Impact Mitigation and Tourism);
- Utilities and Services.
- Roads and Safety; and
- Regional Capacity.
To achieve Regional Development outcomes, you will demonstrate a collaborative approach and delivery focus with prior experience relating to communities, local governments, project partners, consultants and internal teams. You will also have experience in delivery in planning and design of social and community programs and initiatives.
The Key Accountabilities Of The Role Are To
- Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, partners and groups.
- Ensure programs and initiatives are developed in a manner which meets and exceeds requirements of regulators, community groups and stakeholders.
- Ensure social initiatives are developed in a timeframe which supports the development of the Borumba and Pioneer-Burdekin PHES projects.
- Assist the Regional Development team across a broad range of initiatives as they develop across the five workstreams.
- Contribute to the Regional Development team proactively identifying and communicating opportunities to further support the Borumba and Pioneer-Burdekin Pumped Hydro Project Teams.
- Contribute to the preparation of strategic and operational documents including discussion papers, reports, and submissions.
- Contribute to complex and sensitive consultations and partnership arrangements with a range of stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualifications in economic development, regional development, Indigenous development, sustainability and environment, or an equivalent discipline.
- Experience in managing projects in fast paced and challenging project environments with multiple competing stakeholder requirements.
- Ability to problem solve complex issues towards scheduling an outcome in a scheduled time frame.
- Ability to liaise with all levels of the business, community, government stakeholders and technical specialists and tailor communication outputs to suit the relevant stakeholder.
