Are you ready?
We’re on the lookout for an experienced and proactive Market Development Manager with an Agronomy/Agricultural Science background to join our expanding Commercial team. In this role, you’ll be seen as technical thought leader within the Northern NSW/ South Eastern QLD region, and work closely internally with sales, marketing and R&D to develop and execute the product strategy. You will demonstrate the features, advantages, and benefits (added value) of Nuseed’s Carinata and canola pipeline products compared both to market standards and that of competitors in their region.
In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating external network stakeholder relationships including growers, influential channel partners, agronomists/consultants, grower groups and other industry stakeholders to create demand for our core products and novel traits throughout the value chain in the newly emerging Carinata industry with particular focus on the cotton industry.
This role will manage the Northern NSW/South Eastern QLD segment (Location within territory flexible) and requires regular travel. A tool of trade vehicle will be provided.
What will you be doing?
- Nuseed people are the foundation of our success and to enable them to be their best we offer an inclusive environment and a range of flexible working options
- Manage all field promotional activities, including site selection, in-crop management, and assessments as well as various data collations. Ensuring high quality trial presentations during field days/tours and reliable quality data outputs that are suitable for public disclosure
- Collaborate with 3rd party organisations to gain expertise on genetic/nutritional crop management backed by science
- Lead and coordinate Pre-launch through to Launch Activities & drive relationship building
- Communicate, engage, liaise and drive interest with key leaders in the grower community
- Complete the reporting of trial results and communicate to relevant stakeholders within Nuseed
- Focus on the development of seed and trait agronomic knowledge and experience within the Nuseed team, Area Sales Managers (ASM’s) and R&D teams.
- Attending and present at grower days and fields days. Support ASM’s in field as required.
- Provide input to technical training to Nuseed staff, distribution key influencers, consultants and growers as required in conjunction with Sales and Development to ensure sufficient knowledge exists of Nuseed varieties
- Assist marketing in generating content specific to local regional requirements.
- Build knowledge on the rotational benefit of canola & Carinata and drive the expansion into more marginal cropping areas. Partner with cropping groups and local influencers to drive adoption of canola & Carinata.
- Provide input into regional and territory strategic and tactical planning through the Advancement Committee and Australian Crop Team.
What do you bring?
You’re an enthusiastic technical Agriculturalist with a broad knowledge of Agronomy and the Agricultural industry, ideally with a Broadacre (Summer) crop focus including Canola and/or Carinata but we are open to conversations if you are wanting to enter across from an alternative background. You are energetic, engaging, customer focused, and results driven. You have excellent communication and time management skills with the flair of influencing through design and reporting and most of all, you’re passionate about developing relationships with internal teams, customers, end-user growers and consultant agronomists as well as developing your own skills.
