Job Overview
Due to internal promotion, we’re on the hunt for a capable Project Manager to deliver significant projects for Komatsu Mining’s Soft Rock Mining Division.
Reporting to the Program Manager, you’ll be joining a national team of highly capable engineers and Project Managers delivering industry leading technology and original equipment projects anywhere up to $200M in value.

From precontract to execution to delivery, you’ll be faced with a wide range of challenges that will be solved collectively by the supportive team around you.
The relationships you build and credibility you gain will see you provide leadership and mentoring not only to your own team, but to the wider business.
You’ll liaise with stakeholders across the whole organisation, and provide supervision, coordination and advice to a multidisciplinary team which includes project supervisors, engineering professionals, logistics, finance, and support staff.

Qualifications/Requirements
- A focus on safety and risk analysis
- A solid understanding of the principles underpinning project management.
- Formal Project Management certification from PMI or another recognized professional body is highly regarded.
- Experience in leading multi-disciplined and complex projects in excess of $50M.
- Previous exposure to managing projects within the Mining or similar heavy industries.
- Qualified in either Mechanical or Electrical engineering disciplines, with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
- Exposure to areas such as fabrication, hydraulics, machine design, welding, electrics, or automation; and
- The ability to travel throughout Australia and overseas to support our extensive customer base.
