Job Description:Downer has a long-standing partnership with Logan Water, WSP and Cardno to deliver asset management, infrastructure planning, design, project delivery and organisational development services for the City of Logan. This project is a fast-paced, stable and highly rewarding line of works.
THE ROLEDue to significant growth and exciting future projects, our Logan Water team are seeking a
Project Manager to deliver on design, construction, commissioning and handover of infrastructure assets. By optimising cost, quality and safety outcomes, the
Project Manager ensures successful delivery across a range of projects within the Logan region.
Key responsibilities include:- Promote a culture of innovation in project delivery that results in delivery of ongoing efficiencies and improvements in project work practices.
- Manage, coordinate, and maintain good working relationships with subcontractors to effectively and efficiently deliver projects.
- Deliver projects so that they comply with and meet expectations from clients, communities, environmental management requirements and other legislative requirements.
- Undertake reporting on program performance and progress, including development of solutions to issues that compromise attainment of agreed performance targets.
ABOUT YOU- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Extensive Project Management experience within the construction industry (Water pipeline experience highly advantageous).
- Extensive experience in tendering and contract & financial management and quality assurance
- Minimum Cert IV Project Management certification
- Leadership qualifications highly regarded.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience
- The ability to lead a team to success, and coach team members as part of their professional development.
