Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a Project Officer to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.
About the role
As a Project Officer, you will be assisting in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.. In addition, your key duties are as follow:
- Management of project plans and schedules
- Contribute to regular project reporting including status updates and exception report
- Draft a range of written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review
- Assist with monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Assist with the identification and management of project risks, issues and benefits.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Previous Project Management or Project Coordination experience, preferably in a Government Agency or Department
- Ability to communicates clearly and concisely
- Ability to draft written material including business cases, plans and executive briefs
- Background in monitoring project budgets
- Ability to effectively manage time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently
- 12-month temporary assignment
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- $55.24 per hour + super
- Immediate start pending clearances
- Robina, QLD location
