The OpportunityThe successful incumbent will assist in the coordination, management and delivery of the projects on Council’s Capital Works Program.

- Position Remuneration: Level 5 ($103,123.07) total remuneration package which is inclusive of 12% employer superannuation and 17.5% leave loading based on a permanent full-time employee.

To undertake this position, you will have demonstrated experience in project and contract management.
You will have experience in infrastructure planning and design, project management and project controls control and reporting.
Furthermore, you will have the ability to select and exercise an appropriate range of analytical, problem solving and investigative skills.
The position's focus will be:
- Undertake, or assist in undertaking, the prioritisation, planning, coordinating and controlling of infrastructure projects and programs to ensure that they meet quality and budget requirements, and are delivered in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Prepare project briefs, tender documentation and expressions of interest for projects and programs.
- Prepare communication plans and consult with the community and key stakeholders regarding construction issues, timings and project impacts to ensure all stakeholders are kept well informed.
- Prepare project management plans, monitor conformance and address project risks and issues expediently.
- Coordinate, or assist in coordinating consultants, contractors and internal resources to deliver projects.
- Review project proposals for developer contributed assets and community services assets.
- Undertake project control functions, including:
- Capital Works Program scheduling
- Budget and cost monitoring and forecasting
- Project performance and resource monitoring
- Compiling reports, metrics and statistical information
- Liaise with government agencies and Council clients to ensure that projects are planned, coordinated and implemented in accordance with statutory obligations and Council objectives.
- Foster an organisational culture which promotes teamwork, personal accountability and encourages continuous improvement.
- Such other relevant duties as required from time to time which would generally fall within the scope of this position.
