Job description

Rural Doctors Network (RDN) are looking for a Full-Time Project Officer to join our Outreach team on a full-time basis for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The team is based in Sydney; however, for the ideal candidate, we will consider remote work for individuals based in Western NSW.

As a Project Officer, you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of a range of projects and services, that increase patient access to high-quality health services for rural and Aboriginal communities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Employing project management tools to ensure the timely and on budget delivery of quality projects.
  • Effectively coaching and supporting stakeholders to deliver on program objectives and enable local decision making.
  • Connecting appropriate health practitioners to local partner organisations, acting as the first point of contact between both parties
  • Monitoring subcontractor performance through cash flow management, and compliance with reporting and budgetary requirements.
  • Obtaining feedback from stakeholders to ensure continual improvement in the quality of service delivery and program administration.
  • Being responsible for general evaluation, reporting, data collection and analysis of the projects.
  • Developing tailored service proposals for organisations and subcontractor agreements.

About you

Ideally, you will bring to the position:

  • Experience in a customer focused project coordination role
  • Knowledge of project management principles
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders from various backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently, set objectives and meet these within appropriate timeframes.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and adapt to change in an evolving organisation
  • Excellent problem solving & organisational skills.
  • Unrestricted drivers license
