Pay Rate: $50-$60 per hour + super, depending on relevant candidate experience
Location: Hybrid model - work from home and office. Office location negotiable, possibly other locations within Sydney CBD or Parramatta.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to project design, implementation, and coordination to achieve effective business unit outcomes and meet client service delivery needs.
- Collaborate with team members on research and analysis to develop key projects ensuring positive business outcomes.
- Provide administrative support including status updates, reports, budget management, and meeting arrangements.
Projects you will be working on:
- Enforceable codes of practice relating to wildlife interaction.
- Review of current wildlife licensing classes.
- Development of risk-based tools for assessing wildlife interaction risks.
- Creation of educational videos on wildlife licensing and codes.
Additional Information:
- Limited travel, likely to Sydney CBD or Parramatta offices.
- Mix of data and information relating to wildlife and pet keeping.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Project Officer within a government agency.
- Relevant degree and 2 to 4 years of experience in the field or related area preferred.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Experience in ecology, zoology, veterinary science, or wildlife rehabilitation is advantageous.
- National Parks & Wildlife or animal handling/knowledge courses a plus.
- You must hold an Australian Permanent Residency or citizenship and reside in NSW.
