Business Process Analyst - State Govt - TAFE NSW

Business Process Analyst is responsible for consulting with business stakeholders to identify and document business processes and analyse gaps to enable the development of improvement strategies to support the strategic and operational goals of business process owners.
The position provides Process Mapping and using internal templates working for 2 teams (jobs Connect and Student Benefits) for the 'Service Catalogue for Students' program.
Key Accountabilities
1.Responsible for undertaking systems and manual process analysis, process design and process modelling to ensure the ongoing development of the broader business architecture.
2.Analyse and review business processes, procedures and work instructions, including systems and applications, to identify process gaps and to enable development of improvement strategies and projects ,designing new business models; streamlining and reengineering existing business processes and providing support to change.
3.Undertake qualitative and quantitative research to identify trends and best practice in order to assist with determining priorities for business process improvement.
4.Support stakeholders and process owners with strategic alignment between organisational and business unit strategies, policies, processes and procedures by condensing, simplifying and articulating information/documentation that supports decision making on systems and technology solutions.
5.Develop supporting material and provide input on training for operational processes.
6.Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand end-to-end processes to support effective solutions and determine and resolve issues.
7.Provide accurate advice about technical issues and solutions to assist with specifying business requirements for new or existing solutions.
8.Create awareness and understanding of TAFE NSW's written direction and business process frameworks to support a culture of continuous improvement.
9.Reflect TAFE NSW's values in the way you work and abide by policies and procedures to ensure a safe, healthy and inclusive work environment.
10.Place the customer at the centre of all decision making.
11.Work with the Line Manager to develop and review meaningful performance management and development plans
Key Challenges:
- Understanding relationships between components of processes and the impact of changes, distilling businessneeds to identify fit for purpose options and communicating complicated processes.
- Operating within an environment of system immaturity and significant change.
- Influencing staff to engage in and support project work in high activity and competing priorities.
