About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer Compliance and Programs who will specifically focus on delivery of compliance, visitor and land management programs.
As the Project Officer, Compliance and Programs you will take on a key role in managing and enhancing our natural and cultural heritage. Your responsibilities will include developing compliance activities, coordinating field-based initiatives, engaging with stakeholders, and promoting visitor experiences. You'll also collaborate with organizations like NSW Police and NSW Department of Primary Industries to ensure effective compliance programs. Additionally, you'll oversee projects across our reserve system.
The Bargo role may travel throughout the Southern Highlands, Hawkesbury, and Blue Mountains Local Government Areas (LGAs). This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high performing team to support conservation within the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
About you
You possess experience in developing and implementing law enforcement and compliance programs, showcasing your ability to navigate regulatory landscapes effectively. Your proficiency in managing projects will be evident through your background in developing project plans, monitoring timelines, overseeing budgets, and fulfilling reporting requirements. Additionally, your confidence in handling front-line responsibilities, coupled with a knack for working with diverse interests and stakeholder expectations, will set you apart.
Essential requirements.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in law enforcement, compliance and regulation, and project management.
- Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
Current NSW Driver Licence.
