Primary purpose of the role
This role is a 9 month temporary contract based in Newcastle, with flexible hybrid working option.
5 days a week work, which is up to 40 hours per week.
The role is responsible for performing day-to-day project operation and administrative activities to support project-specific and ongoing team-related objectives. The role will also develop and coordinate efficient project management and administrative systems and processes to support effective time management and liaison on behalf of team members and ensure coordination of briefs and reports.
Key accountabilities
- Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure time, cost, and quality indicators align with approved project plans.
- Update and collate documentation and records regarding issues, policies, and practices to ensure project delivery complies with the agreed project management methodology.
- Assist the team by providing a range of secretarial and administrative services, including coordinating meetings for the Director and team members, preparing agendas, meeting documentation and other tasks to support program management delivery.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.
- Contribute to achieving effectiveness of Manager and team members by identifying, prioritising and determining the urgency of the critical issues requiring attention and support.
- Work cooperatively and demonstrate a continuous improvement and growth mindset by contributing and testing ideas for improving work practices, collaborating with internal and external business areas to achieve objectives and work outcomes.
- Demonstrate the five ways of leading behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people and communities for the greater good.
- Providing high-quality and confidential project and administrative service to the Director and team members.
- Managing team members to ensure that the business needs are met in a proficient and timely manner.
- Understanding critical or politically sensitive issues which may require the immediate attention of the principal manager or other senior managers.
