About the Role
Our Project Specialist (Mechanical) is a unique key role designed to support our Broadmeadow Engineering Team.
Reporting to the Superintendent Modifications & Small Projects, you will be responsible for providing specialist technical expertise to the operation. This will involve the execution of tasks associated with providing engineering technical support and ensuring a robust risk and benefit-based assessment process is followed for engineering projects and applications.
This role will be based at Broadmeadow on a 5/2 roster, offering flexible work arrangements.
In this role you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather specifications and options analysis;
- Review, update and approve the complete set of technical documentation (International, National & Site engineering standards, equipment standards, specifications, datasheets, procedures, programs and drawings) from which the operation is designed, constructed, operated and maintained;
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, resource requirements and quality criteria;
- Facilitate business cases, contracting and execution strategies;
- Prepare projects for capital budget approvals;
- Oversee project safety, compliance, risk and report on portfolio status.
You will be either degree qualified in mechanical engineering or a mechanical trade with significant project experience or have project management qualifications with a mechanical project background. Your project experience will set you apart from other candidates.
You will be innovative and an enabler to all facets and stages of project delivery including commissioning and closeout.
