The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is looking to engage an enthusiastic Project Support Officer to join a skilled multi-disciplinary team within the
Modern Workplace Program delivery team.
The Project Support Officer's role is to actively develop and manage an Agile Scrum and Sprint delivery process. This will be achieved through working with the program team, technical and business stakeholders
The Modern Workplace Program is designed to deliver a contemporary IT experience for all AEC staff. The program addresses a number of legacy ICT challenges the Commission has been facing and to deploy ICT systems that support contemporary ways of working.
The Digital Technology Branch (DTB) is committed to building the agency's information technology capability by providing resilient, modern, and secure systems informed by data and insights, and to upskill teams to develop innovative new products and services. DTB delivers a range of ICT services to the agency including infrastructure, application development and digital communications. ICT services are delivered through a select sourcing model, with a mixture of in-house and outsourced resources.
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Mange project governance and reporting, and operate under a blended Agil approach;
- Assisting with project governance and reporting tasks;
- Work with the Project Manager to define and manage the delivery of work packages utilising Scrum and Azure DevOps;
- Update project artefacts;
- Implement effective change control;
- Coordinate AEC staff to meet the project timeframes;
- Support contract managers in establishing the new services arrangement;
- Liaise with business and technical areas to facilitate the timely resolution of issues as they arise;
- Produce technical and non-technical documentation as required;
- Manage project resources effectively to deliver the required outcomes; and
- Additional tasks as directed
