Project Support Officer
Hunter Executive a leading Australian-owned recruitment company focusing on permanent professional positions in Engineering, Mining & Resources, Environment & Water, Geosciences, Building Services, Government and Not-for-Profit.
Hunter Executive is assisting with a major government organization based in Geraldton who are currently seeking a Support Project Officer. This initially would be a 6-month contract with room to extend depending on performance and business needs. This role is likely to start Mid-March.
The role:
- Manage the delivery of routine maintenance services for the sub-region including developing and managing annual program of works, assisting in the calling and evaluation of tenders, administering contracts, preparing customer invoices, customer liaison, progress reporting and maintaining schedules, service reports and other records.
- Assist in the management of the Service Alliance Agreements including receiving applications, arranging mail outs, record keeping and preparing reports for the measurement of contractor performance.
- Assist project officers in the preparation of tender documentation using templates.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives and assist the Senior Project Manager and Regional
- Manager in developing and delivering regional strategies.

The successful candidates must have:
- Experience in providing administrative support including the use of administrative systems and processes and undertaking a wide variety of administrative activities.
- Experience in government desirable.
- Experience in Finance would be desirable.
- Process driven and highly organized.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills including the ability to manage priorities and potentially competing work demands.
- The skills and attributes to personally contribute effectively as a team member.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to draft simple reports, correspondence, and outcomes of meetings.
- Competence in the use of computers, including keyboarding skills and experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, databases, and online applications.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
