Projects And Engineering Superintendent

CSA Mine is looking for an experienced Projects and Engineering Superintendent to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our operational success through meticulous compliance management, robust asset management, and the execution of innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Management:

• Develop comprehensive control plans, including management packages encompassing higher-level plans, procedures, work instructions, training plans, audit plans, and critical controls.
• Introduce and oversee site checks to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Manage procurement and approval processes to maintain site compliance.
• Provide technical approval for project work, ensuring site acceptance.
• Act on recommendations from risk assessments and other sources to enhance compliance.

Asset Management and Reliability:

• Lead incident investigations and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
• Review work requests from the workforce and other departments, optimizing asset utilization.
• Oversee current maintenance strategies, monitoring data and trends for continuous improvement.
• Provide input to asset management improvements and oversee the implementation of strategic plans.
• Roll out and oversee the implementation of the asset management plan, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.

Projects Management:

• Manage current mechanical and electrical capital projects, ensuring structural integrity and operational efficiency.
• Oversee pressure vessel upgrades and site drawing/engineering document management implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and timely completion.

About You:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in compliance management, asset management, and project execution within a similar industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform RCA and FMECA effectively.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Project management certification (e.g. PMP) is a plus.

Conditions: 

This position is a residential only position, based on a 5/2, 4/3 roster. 12 weeks of free transit accommodation and paid relocation assistance is provided to assist the successful applicant to source their own accommodation locally. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependents.
