The role:
The Property Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting, budgeting, forecasting for a portfolio of shopping centres and managing key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally. This position is based in Western Sydney, your responsibilities will include:
- Monthly financial reporting for a portfolio of Shopping Centres
- Daily Chasing of tenant arrears
- Preparation and review of all reconciliations
- Reporting on property portfolio performance
- Daily MRI reporting
- Preparation of month-end accruals, journals, prepayments, adjustments, income and expenses analysis.
- Maintain Outgoings, Percentage Rent and Extended Trade models.
- Cash flow statement preparation
- Responsible for the preparation of variance analysis, commentary on performance and key performance indicators.
- Assist in the preparation of Property & Portfolio Reforecast
- Upload the budgets in the property management system (MRI).
- Preparation of annual outgoings estimates.
- Review annual tax statement for all trusts BAS preparation and lodgement
- Previous experience with MRI software essential
- Someone with CPA/CA or equivalent qualifications or working towards
- Demonstrated experience in an accounting or finance role within a Property company
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to ongoing personal development, and improvement of processes
- Analytical background, and ability to problem solve
