We are an established Property Developer/ Owner, who manages their own diverse portfolio of properties – incorporating Residential, Commercial & Retail as well as other investments not related to property.
We are looking for a Bookkeeper/ Accountant Assistant to look after the day-to-day accounting tasks who can start immediately to join our small team.
The role requires the successful candidate to be highly detail-oriented, organized with strong multitasking abilities. Across their work they will continually ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.
The Role
Your responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- General administration and support to the Financial Controller
- Data entry, processing accounts payable for various entities within the group which includes managing the weekly payment to suppliers and related entities.
- Process and code credit cards and online payments
- Invoicing, reconciliation and payment of expenses
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards on a weekly basis for all entities within the Group
- Assist with the compliance program (income tax returns, FBT & BAS) including provision of supporting documentation and papers
- Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
- Prepare draft monthly accounts and supporting documentation, including BAS
- Assist with Payroll and Super
- Maintain company finance files and records
- Ad hoc General Property, Office and Administration duties
- Providing support to the Director
Skills and Experience Required
- Degree qualified and/ or equivalent experience
- Sound knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and BAS
- Must be computer literate and proficient Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills
- Ability to communicate on all levels
- Be a numbers person with strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information and have a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills – English both written and verbal
The successful candidate will have previous data experience and the ability to work in a team but also autonomously. Experience using QuickBooks Online would be highly regarded.

- Office is located in Alexandria, close to public transport or the successful candidate will have access to car parking
- Great Salary package on offer - up to $120,000 dependent on the level of experience
