Projects including Elizabeth Quay, Alkimos, Ocean Reef Marina the Australian Marine Complex, Subi East and significant regional projects such as Baynton West and Madigan Estates in Karratha, Exmouth Marina, Broome North, GreenView Kalgoorlie, various industrial and special industrial precincts across the state and the revitalisation of the Karratha, Newman, Chinatown Broome and South Hedland town centres.We are committed to innovation and sustainability across all of our operations, including a plan to transition to net zero ‘scope 1 and 2’ emissions by 2025.At DevelopmentWA our vision is “Shaping our State’s Future”, and that’s exactly what you’ll be doing by joining the team at DevelopmentWA.To learn more about our company, or to view the current projects we are working on, visit www.developmentwa.com.auRole Summary:A unique and exciting opportunity for a Property Manager is available in our Leasing and Property Management TeamThe Property Manager is a broad property management role, primarliy responsible for managing DevelopmentWA’s residential built form portfolio, including complex strata and service worker accommodation but may also include managing commercial, retail, function centre and industrial properties across the State to ensure the best commercial outcomes for DevelopmentWA whilst maintaining government objectives.Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Reporting to the Manager Leasing and Property Management you will be responsible for;
- Providing strategic advice on the acquisition and management of new built form assets.
- Negotiate and manage Managing Agent agreements.
- Manage facilities to ensure optimal asset performance based on DevelopmentWA objectives.
- Develop, approve and manage actuals to annual budgets.
- Market, negotiate and manage tenancy agreements including leases, access licences and other agreements.
- Engage, instruct and monitor the performance of external consultants and contractors.
- Prepare built form asses for disposal including assisting in disposal strategy advice, engagement of consultants, due diligence/sale documentation and the sale process.
- Ability to work independently to identify and analyse complex issues and provide concise written recommendations for approval.
- Experience with Managing Agents in a landlord role (desirable only).
- Knowledge of property and real estate legislation and industry procedures, including strata management.
- Good skills in leadership, communication and stakeholder management.
- The ability to work independently, show initiative and find strategic solutions to issues.
