The company: This national law firm has an amazing culture and great reputation within Queensland but also nationally. This team has a new opportunity for another paralegal to join the firm working on mostly off-the-plan developments, leasing, and some residential conveyancing.
About the opportunity:
You will work closely with authors and the one Partners within the team, as well as having the support of the administrative team. Day to day you will be:
- conducting and reviewing property searches;
- drafting and preparing legal correspondence and contracts;
- drafting relevant clauses and amendments to the standard contract terms;
- negotiating contract variations, administering property contracts, and reviewing contract executions;
- liaising with clients, banks and other solicitors on a daily basis as well as across the life of each transaction;
- preparing matter workspaces on PEXA for settlement;
- managing own file load across the life of the conveyancing transactions;
- providing exceptional client service skills and responsiveness;
- contributing to process improvement and systems with your strong IT literacy skills;
- support your team members, with your proactive approach and positive attitude; and
- assisting in the handover and providing any after settlement support.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- experience either as a conveyancer, property or leasing paralegal;
- experience in off-the-plan sales contracts for residential and mixed-use developments will be highly regarded;
- excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and time-management skills and administration experience;
- experience preparing workspaces and settling transactions by PEXA;
- the initiative and drive to take ownership of matters and client portfolios;
- ability to work as a team and autonomously to manage your own workload; and
- a passion for customer service and strong client relationship skills as this role will see you as a key client contact.
