About the Role:
This role offers you the opportunity to join a team striving for meaningful change in the community. We are seeking mental health professionals who can contribute to any or all of our clinical initiatives including: 1-1 therapeutic supports, Positive Behaviour Support, Group Programs, Community Workshops & Education.
PBS:
This role will see the provision of person-centred, evidenced based support and development of high quality interim and comprehensive reports for clients with Behaviour Support funding as per NDIS legislation. Our Behaviour Support plans centre around the promotion of the rights of people with a disability, reducing the use of restrictive practices and reducing the occurrences of behaviours of concern.
Psychology / Therapeutic Supports:
This role will see the provision of therapeutic supports to clients aged 3 - 90 (as per your preference in age groups). Our therapeutic team has the opportunity to tailor their case loads to suit their interests, experiences and strengths. This may include your preference of: assessments, treatment, age range or referral stream (Medicare, NDIS, EAP). An opportunity to explore your true therapeutic identity and develop a role that suits you. Provisional Psychologists, Psychologists, Counsellors, Social Workers and other therapeutic professionals are encouraged to apply.
Ideal candidate:
- The ideal candidate will have experience working collaboratively with stakeholders, families and people with a disability.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical basis of behaviour and evidence based strategies for therapeutic supports and Behaviour Support.
- Show compassion, understanding and kindness in their therapeutic approach.
- Hold strong research, analytical and report writing skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in: Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Sciences, Education or similar. Candidates working towards completion of these degrees are encouraged to apply.
