Private Practice Part-time Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist

We are a small boutique and experienced Private Practice in the Homebush area for providing exceptional psychological care and treatment for the past 7 years. We believe wellness and well beings are at the core of the way we approach our therapy. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our clients and offering gold standard care. We work with evidenced based interventions for children, adolescents, adults, and couples with various mental health issues, problems and disorders. We also offer educational, cognitive and behavioural assessments for children and adolescents, and behavioural interventions for individuals within the NDIS.
Our practice operates somewhat uniquely as we prioritise the appropriate allocation of all our clients versus simply filling the calendar to ensure the best suitable therapeutic fit.
Role Opportunity
Currently we are a growing at PsychWell. We are looking for a part-time Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist across 2 to 3 days per week. The role start date is April 2024.
The role offers:
- A flexible work arrangement that includes some evening and Saturday appointments and working hours.
- Full administration support allowing you to focus on your clinical work. We have an amazing Practice Manager who looks after both our clients and therapists, and takes care of most of your administration duties for you.
- Weekly or fortnightly individual supervision & monthly group supervision is included as part of your role, so that you will feel supported in all aspects of your work & professional development.
- You will have access to our online Practice Management System, which allows access to your full client files, and also facilitates video sessions if you or your client prefers tele-health sessions.

Essential Criteria
- Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Minimun 3 years of theraputic expereince.
- Eligibility for registration with Medicare.
- Professional indemnity insurance.
- Current WWCC and Police Check.
- Demonstrated ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage with a high degree of professionalism, friendliness, and organisation.
- Clinical experience in working with complex and long-standing presentations in children, adolescents and adults.
- Experience or interest in working with children, adolescent and adult NDIS clients with a range of presentations including Autism.
- Experience in child and adolescent assessments and writing reports for educational, cognitive and behavioural referrals.
- SIRA approved Psychologist or willing to undertake the training for approval.
- Competence in the provision of CBT, and a willingness to explore other treatment modalities such as DBT, ACT & Mindfulness based strategies, EMDR, behaviour therapy, schema therapy, and psychodynamic treatment approaches.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an ability to discuss process issues with clients.
- Professional in your communication and interactions whilst being genuine and compassionate.
