The Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art is the state's premier institution for the visual arts, based in two neighbouring gallery buildings on Kurilpa Point in Brisbane, Australia.
Public Engagement at QAGOMA
Audiences are at the heart of everything we do at QAGOMA. The Public Programs team develops, coordinates, and produces innovative and accessible public facing projects and events for a diverse range of audiences of all ages.
About this role
The purpose of this position is to provide assistance in the research, development and facilitation of onsite and virtual Public Programs and public engagement initiatives at the Gallery.
Key duties for this role includes:
* Providing administrative support for the roll-out of Public Programs, including updating statistical and budget tracking documents, accessing databases, and using software such as Excel, Outlook, Zoom, ClickUp and Eventbrite.
* Providing assistance with the research, development and facilitation of innovative onsite and virtual Public Programs to support and extend visitor access to the Gallery's exhibitions and Collection.
* Providing liaison support by communicating with the Gallery's audiences and program stakeholders including artists, scholars and professionals.
* Under the guidance of the Senior Programming Officer, assisting with researching strategies for audience development and support opportunities to engage new and diverse audiences.
* Contributing to project teams by working with staff across Gallery departments in a collaborative way.

* This role involves working outside of core business hours, including on weekends and after-hours for the facilitation of Public Programs, with time off in lieu offered.
