About the role:
Blend Public Relations is seeking a full-time Public Relations Account Manager to join our small team. This role would guide the execution of our media relations campaigns across a select roster of drinks clients in the business. This client-facing role is ideal for someone who likes to work with people, thinks strategically, and is motivated by delivering exceptional results and outcomes efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage client accounts within the Australian alcohol sector.
- Conduct media pitching and maintain and build media relationships.
- Lead and execute client-related PR campaigns.
- Manage and support the development of a PR coordinator who reports to you.
- Prepare and deliver monthly PR reports for clients.
- Contribute to business development opportunities by crafting creative PR campaign ideas and contributing to new client pitch documents.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2-3 years of experience as an Account Manager or equivalent client-facing role in marketing and communications.
- Excellent communication skills - in writing and verbal presentation.
- Strong ability to plan and execute multiple PR campaigns simultaneously.
- Proficiency in managing and coordinating a team to deliver campaigns.
- Effective delegation and management skills.
- Good understanding of managing and maintaining project budgets to ensure campaigns are delivered to or below budget.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the Australian media landscape.
- Familiarity with the Australian alcohol industry.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work to tight deadlines.
- Personable, friendly, and adept at building and maintaining client relationships.
- High attention to detail.
Software and Tools:
- Proficiency in Google Business Suite tools.
- Understanding of Asana or similar project management platforms.
- Understanding of PR media database platform Telum.
Travel and Out of Hour Requirements:
- Infrequent travel to domestic states may be required.
- Since we are in the drinks industry, some client and business-related events will occur outside of business hours. Blend always offers time in lieu of these circumstances.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Delivery of PR campaign reach, clip count benchmarks and other PR campaign benchmarks.
- Retention of retainer and project clients.
- Quality execution and attention to detail in campaign projects.

Salary:
- We are currently offering a salary between $85,000 and $95,000, depending on the experience of the chosen candidate.
