Pivotal to our continued success is the addition of a motivated and enthusiastic Reliability Engineer to join our high-performing Maintenance Team.
About The Role
We currently have an opportunity for a keen Purchasing Officer to join our team based in our rough molded fiber manufacturing site at Preston.
Specifically, your responsibilities will be to manage and execute the administrative order fulfillment process from receiving purchase orders from suppliers and successfully negotiating on time and in full delivery with both parties.
The right candidate will be hard working, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and will be accountable and reliable.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
- Identify and/or request quotes for goods and services and action responses.
- Check maintenance stock withdraw sheets, confirm stock holding and order replenishment stock.
- Create purchase orders as required for all Preston goods and services.
- Assist accounts with troubleshooting in case of differences (volume, value).
- Replenish maintenance physical stock into correct bin locations.
- Organise part freight (local/international) as required.
- Manage relationships and liaising with suppliers.
- Updating product data and pricing, creating new item codes for Maintenance & Engineering parts.
- Produce internal purchasing related reports.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience with purchasing and supplier relationships
- Demonstrated experience with Inventory Control & Management
- Experience with collaborating with freight companies and 3rd party service providers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
- Use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc) essential.
- Victorian High Risk Work License - Forklift is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Previous experience with Oracle R12 OCI desirable
