The Role on Offer
This is a new role created due to internal promotion, offered initially as a 6-mths contract with temp-to-perm conversion potential.
This role supports the close-knit Supply Chain team with administrative & purchasing related duties to ensure our day-to-day operations sail smoothly.
This role focuses on order placement & expediting & will include various duties such as:
- Processing & maintaining Purchase Orders.
- Liaising with staff regarding inventory levels, lead times & delivery dates.
- Updating & maintaining vendor cards & contacts.
- Assist in RFQ process.
- Assist in pricing agreements.
- General admin support.
Who would ace this role?
- 3+ years' experience in purchasing roles essential, familiarity with manufacturing industry a bonus
- Driver’s License & own transport
- Reliable & organised with strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office programs, previous use of ERP systems such as NetSuite or Navision a bonus
- Confident team player who can build relationships with relative ease
- Financial/commercial literacy – interest in value for money outcomes
- Strong commitment to WHS practices
- Note: A pre-employment medical will be required to perform this role
