Position Overview:
As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and components essential to our joinery production process. Your strategic thinking, attention to detail, and ability to build strong supplier relationships will be critical to maintaining our competitive edge and meeting our production targets.
Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery speed.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast material requirements and ensure timely procurement.
Raise & send purchase orders for materials
Process invoices for received purchases in Xero Accounting Software
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or similar role, preferably in the kitchen manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Xero Accounting software.
- Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
The role is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, located at Tuggerah.
