Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited) to the following:
CORE FUNCTION
¿ Taking action to maximise the contribution of own area to the company's profitability and growth by constantly looking for opportunities to improve business performance; managing business operations to maintain competitive advantage and making cost-benefit decisions
¿ Supporting the SCM Manager by utilising purchasing tools and techniques in line with recognised best practice, legal and policy requirements
¿ Performing duties as necessary to obtain supplies and services on the best terms (quality, specification, cost and delivery) in accordance with company policy
¿ Processing of requisitions and issuing of purchase orders in the business, as per Supply Chain processes
¿ Communicating with vendors for requests for quotes and maintaining ongoing communication as required
¿ Monitoring expediting reports to ensure on time delivery requirements are met
¿ Improving supply chain relationships for added value, competitive advantage and cost saving opportunities
¿ Improving quality through supplier selection and management, materials specification and quality management
¿ Ensuring the NCR process is followed and carried out as required
¿ Being involved in supply chain strategy and approach, contributing to global goals and objectives
¿ Following and assisting with continuous improvement of purchasing processes and practices to ensure the value for expenditure on goods and services
General

¿ Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems;
¿ Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems for the Company; and
¿ Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
