K&R Hydraulics, an Australian owned company based in Thornton, are looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start.
Please note – this is a hands-on role based in our Workshop. Hours are not flexible and this is not a work from home position.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Purchasing all goods and materials required for the business.
- Ensure all orders are processed and confirmed by suppliers.
- Creating part numbers in the ERP system.
- Ensure stock is accurately allocated to jobs.
- Raising credit orders for return of items to suppliers.
- Stocktaking and stock reconciliation.
- Data entry.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a Purchasing role in the same or similar setting/industry.
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to solve problems in a calm, logical and professional manner.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment with strong time management skills.
- Ability to work overtime (essential at EOM).
- Excellent work ethic, punctuality and attendance.
