We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join a leading paint and coatings organisation as their Purchasing Officer.
You’ll be joining an established global business located in West Sydney and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the procurement processes. You'll be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and managing inventory levels to support production needs. Your attention to detail and ability to optimise purchasing decisions will directly impact the business’s ability to deliver high-quality products to their customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Researching products and suppliers to ensure optimal purchasing decisions.
Managing inventory levels and ordering materials in a timely manner to meet production demands.
Collaborating with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
Negotiating pricing and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance to maintain quality and reliability.
Ensuring compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.

This role will report directly to and be mentored by the Head of operations ANZ.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment and minimum 3 years in a purchasing role.
Education: TAFE Purchasing Certificate, achieved or working to achieve.
Skills: MS Office, Database management including ACCESS
Personal Attributes: Highly organised, attention to detail, strong communication skills, team player
