Our client who is a specialist Australian manufacturer of hygiene and disinfection products is currently looking for an experience and hard-working QA Co-ordinator to join of their team!
With unique automated production capabilities, our client delivers their customers with competitive Australian made quality alternatives to imported wet wipe products. Backed by a team of chemists and product innovators, they have their own laboratory facilities that supports testing, Quality Control, R&D and product development activities.
Based in the Western Suburbs of Adelaide, this position will see you joining and working with their motived, hard-working team. The role will begin on a casual basis with an immediate start and the view for permanency for the right candidate!
The key functions of this role are:
• Adhere to all documented procedures and quality control requirements.
• Inspect all inbound raw materials and packaging.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly audits either routine or ad-hoc.
• Be responsible for product rework activities controlling quality of outcomes and work with Manufacturing to set tasks and monitor labour performing these rework activities.
• Process daily defects.
• Ensure product quality and consistency are maintained through quality control inspection and testing of manufactured product samples
• Maintaining laboratory equipment in line with procedures and checklists.
• Calibration inspection of laboratory and batch making instrumentation including scales, pH meters and temperature probes etc.
• Follow up on non-conforming batches and raise necessary corrective actions.
• Filing and control of wet and FG sample retains and maintenance of sample retain repository.
• Provide laboratory support as required for lab test work.
• Complete support tasks including maintaining the cleanliness of the QC inspection area and equipment
• Work effectively within a quality management system
• Support business development with production trials of new formula development
The successful candidate will possess some or all of the following:
• Experience in documentation of results, and some manufacturing process experience.
• Previous exposure to 5S housekeeping & process / continuous improvement methodologies highly regarded but not necessary
• Experience using liquid solution manufacturing and filling equipment
• Level of working knowledge of small business management
• Quality management and client-oriented service.
• Computer and basic Word, Excel and Email skills
• Previous experience working in a factory/manufacturing process environment highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualification (TAFE or University) in science or significant experience in a laboratory/testing environment highly regarded, or willingness undertake same.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (ISO, NATA) and laboratory experience regarded.
• Knowledge of ISO Quality Processes.
