The Queensland Resources Council (QRC) is Queensland’s peak industry body for the minerals and energy sector including coal, metal, gas, explorers, producers and suppliers across the resources sector and is seeking expressions of interest for the position of Queensland Exploration Council (QEC) Program and Business Development Manager.
The QEC Manager’s position within the QRC is responsible for delivering the ambitious and wide-ranging agenda of the QEC. The QEC promotes the importance of the exploration sector and supports Queensland’s explorers on their pathway to production.
Succeeding in this role will demand high levels of enthusiasm, organisation and motivation. The QEC Manager will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will work with sponsors, volunteers and stakeholders as part of a high-performing team.
The QEC Manager oversees the delivery of a coherent program for QEC including Business Development, project initiatives, social media, events and initiatives to promote Queensland’s exploration agenda. The manager will facilitate the promotion of exploration to various agencies and build strong partnerships and collaboration opportunities with government, other peak bodies, and private companies across Queensland.
The QEC Manager will have strong project management experience and be able to deliver quality products on time with exceptional engagement and consultation skills. The QEC Manager will have strong Business Development skills and be able to connect into the exploration and resources industry.
The QEC Manager will build the QEC membership and manage QEC events including Investor showcase forums, develop capital raising and technical seminars, deliver boardroom lunches and communicate through social media, newsletters, and print media to sell the story of exploration in Queensland.
The QEC Manager will be required to prepare a range of written materials including submissions, briefing papers, the QEC newsletters, brochures, website content, sponsorship proposals and Management Committee papers to a professional standard.
This position offers an attractive remuneration package which will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
