Quality Assurance Lead

The Quality Assurance Lead is a key role that will promote and lead a positive quality culture across the organisation, empowering and resourcing staff to embed quality systems & practice.

As the subject matter expert, the Quality Assurance Lead will uphold the Quality Assurance strategy, by partnering with key internal stakeholders, embedding accreditation standards in practice, ensuring quality control systems are effective and operative, and facilitate compliance through internal audits, inspections, education and training.

Primary accountabilities of the role of the Quality Assurance Lead include, but are not limited to:

• Lead quality accreditation reviews across directorates and service areas for compliance activities for all external audits (including ASES, Child Safe Standards for Permanent Care, NRSCH, ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management etc.)
• Maintain annual schedule of internal audits to ensure compliance against policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Drive continuous improvement; Develop and implement quality improvement plans and procedures that allow Marist180 to meet industry standards, relevant legislation and provide current best practice guidelines.
• Maintain all quality registers and document control system.
• Maintain complaint management system; provide support and guidance to internal partners to effectively manage complaints and continuous quality improvement.
• Conduct or participate in investigations, system reviews, or root cause analysis as required from time to time.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop, implement, and monitor Quality Assurance processes.
• Provide project management support for quality, risk and compliance related activities.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff awareness and understanding of quality standards and procedures.
• Understand and interpret quality and compliance requirements and stay up to date with both sector and requirement changes.
• Monitor and analyse data related to quality metrics, preparing reports for management, and recommending strategic improvements.
• Act with integrity and professionalism with all undertakings, as an integral member of the Office of the CEO.

The qualification, experience and skills required demonstrate success within their role.

• Tertiary qualification in relevant field is desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in leading organizational accreditations, ideally within the community sector.
• High level of discipline knowledge.
• Experience in developing and/or managing quality management systems.
• Demonstrated experience of conducting quality audits and inspections and working in an environment of continuous improvement.
• The ability to influence and imbed change.
• Ability to work under limited direction and exercise autonomy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Work Requirements:

• Working with Children Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Clear National Criminal History Check.
• Unrestricted NSW driver’s licence.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.

Desirable:

• Lead Auditor qualifications of Quality Management Systems
• Experience managing the quality function in the not-for-profit sector.
• Experience leading internal investigations.
• Project management experience.
