Dermcare-Vet Pty Ltd is an Australian owned veterinary pharmaceutical company that develops medicated skin treatments for animals with allergies, skin disease and ear problems in Australia and overseas markets. We are well known in the veterinary industry and our brands include Malaseb, Aloveen, and Otoflush, to name a few.
Our QA Team has upskilled and expanded in the past few years, and we are recruiting for an entry level QA Officer. Candidates do not require previous training or experience in similar roles, however, must possess a strong high performing background in tertiary level study.
The QA Officer plays an integral role in ensuring the continued supply of high-quality products to the marketplace. Reporting to the QA Manager, you will enjoy a variety of duties including:
- Assisting with the development, maintenance, and review of the Quality Management System.
- Raise, investigate, and manage Deviations, Non-conformances, CAPAs, Risk Assessments and Complaints, etc.
- Generation and control of documentation using good documentation practices.
- Participate in both the internal and external audit programs.
- Perform inspections and organise testing of inwards goods – packaging materials, raw materials.
- Management and control of Finished Product Labels.
- Managing the services and calibrations of equipment as per manufacturers guidelines.
- Delegate for Release for Supply upon sufficient training is demonstrated.
- Issuing and Processing of Certificates of Analysis.
- Assist production with quality matters.
- Providing line clearance for in-house Category 2 & 3 Production.
- Ensuring that a timely and effective communication and escalation process exists to raise quality issues to the appropriate levels of management.
- Undertake continuous improvement activities.
- Any other duty assigned by management.
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in chemistry, microbiology, or a related field.
- Excellent technical and clinical writing skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a cross-functional team.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of GMP and the APVMA Agvet Code and guidelines of other countries.
- At least one year work experience in a quality role with a tertiary level science program, is preferred. However, no experience is required.
