Quality, Compliance, and Risk Officer

We offer NDIS, CHSP, HCP, DVA, and staffing placements to residential care facilities, along with operating a registered training organisation (RTO) and an international school. With current growth, we seek an experienced and outcomes-focused Quality, Compliance, and Risk Manager to join our team. The Quality, Compliance, and Risk manager ensures adherence to laws, regulations, and licensing requirements, collaborating with managers and coordinators across all departments. Some core responsibilities include validating staff certifications, advising stakeholders on auditing and legislation, and maintaining quality standards.

Role Requirements

  • Ensure quality and compliance activities for Aged and Disability services meet the Aged Care Quality Standards (Quality Standards), NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators and Australian Community Industry Standards (ACIS)
  • Support development and implementation of consumer and staff engagement plans, communication strategies, workforce training needs analysis and staff competency development program in consultation with the QRC team
  • Development of a quality audit process that adheres to company policies, procedures, industry codes of practice and review of P&P to identify gap and opportunities for improvement 
  • Maintenance of Quality Register, including compliments, complaints, and incidents
  • Supporting, coaching and assisting the delivery of the overall clinical governance and quality management systems with the team
  • Monitor compliance reports and reports on gaps to management meeting
  • Support and assist managers to establish an agreed business reporting framework for reporting of service outcomes (quality indicators) and operational efficiency (KPIs)
  • Conduct regular audits as required and in line with annual schedule of audits
  • Participate in external audits and quality reviews as required by regulatory and legislated departments
  • Review internal / external audit outcomes and put identified corrective actions into place
  • Regularly review clinical indicator data with Internal Stakeholders
  • Work in partnership with recruitment, accounts, community, and Disability management teams to support best practice in client service provision

About you:

  • Hold Tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline (such as nursing) and registration with appropriate Australian authority such as AHPRA
  • Have a Knowledge of ACHS Accreditation System against the National Standards (NSQHS)
  • Advanced conceptual, analytical, research and problem-solving skills in relation to clinical practices, quality improvement and data analysis in a health-related aged care or disability setting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • proficient computer skills in Microsoft office suite and willingness to learn new programs
  • Have thorough knowledge of quality management systems and relevant quality standards to effectively support staff in achieving compliance.  
  • Understanding of home care packages and NDIS provider operations is desirable.
