Quality Compliance and Risk Manager

Midway Community Care (Midway), based in Mandurah, have been providing support services to people with disabilities in the Peel Region for over 30 years. As a leading Not for Profit, we are renowned for the quality of the Services we provide including, Supported Independent Living, individualised Living Options, Community and Access Inclusion and our recently launched Customised Employment Service. Midway is continuing to grow but always with a focus on our participants and staff and we are proud members of our local Community.

We are seeking a dynamic Quality, Compliance and Risk Manager to join our team.  Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the primary responsibility of this position will be to ensure quality and compliance is maintained across the organisation to meet the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and all our legislative Reporting requirements, as well as ensuring Midway’s risk profile is reduced with effective compliance management. You will be supporting the CEO and the wider business in delivering best practise around Audit and Compliance and help ensure that delivery of quality services and Compliance is at the heart of everything we do. 

You will drive key changes in our organisation and be responsible for providing expert advice and consultative support to the whole of our organisation to ensure Midway meet its obligations. 

This role is part of our management team and so has the opportunity to contribute to the wider growth and development of the organisation.

Our ideal candidate will have significant experience working in a similar role and have strong attention to detail along with responsiveness to handle a wide range of quality, risk and compliance requirements. You will have excellent knowledge and understanding of how to interpret and apply legislative requirements to deliver compliant outcomes that meet our business needs. Applicants with experience in the disability sector will be highly regarded.

You will also have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Qualifications in Quality, Compliance or Risk, Management 
  • Knowledge of risk assessments and controls
  • Experience with NDIS auditing and reporting requirements
  • Have strong experience in designing and supporting the implementation of effective policies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external 
  • Strong computer, analytical and research skills
  • A good understanding of the disability sector
