Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation and adherence of the quality and food safety requirements.
- Assist with updating/developing quality, production, and warehouse related procedures.
- Manage the quality calibration schedule.
- Conduct reviews of pre-requisite programs (i.e., label compliance, glass control, tools control, approved supplier ingredient and packaging risk assessment etc.)
- Conduct daily quality walks to ensure products being produced meet the specification and staff are adhering to GMP requirements.
- Organise and review external microbial/chemical testing as per verification plan (Food, water, swabs etc.).
- Conduct in house validation activities (i.e., Metal detector, Environmental monitoring)
- Raising non-conformances for any deviations
- Manage customer complaints and conduct trend analysis
- Assist to conduct quality and food safety audits as per audit plan (internal and external)
- Assist during third party and customer audits to obtain/maintain certification.
- Assist in rolling out quality and food safety training to company employees as required
- Assist conducting other training as required due to changes in specifications, standards, product legislation
- Assist developing and maintaining product and quality specifications (both internally and within customer portals)
- Ensure records are maintained for all quality related activities.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in developing programs to drive reductions in quality issues, customer complaints etc.
- Conduct any other quality related activity as required by the business.
We are interested in speaking with individuals who possess:
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent formal studies in food sciences or related sciences.
- Has experience working in a food/ beverage production/manufacturing environment within food industry (preferred)
- Understanding relevant legislative and customer standards
- Understanding of specifications
- HACCP Training preferred

- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently and be a team player.
- Ability to work in an environment that is “hands on”.
- Intermediated Microsoft office and computer skills.
