To support this growth, we are looking to hire an experienced Quality Inspector to join our quality team.
About the Role:
Supporting the quality team, the Quality Inspector conducts in process Quality inspections, releases products, monitors & controls process performance, and assists Quality Engineers to improve process & product quality.
Main responsibilities include:
- Conduct In process quality inspection in Optical Assembly & Opto-Mechanical Assembly.
- Performing Final QC Inspection to release the product.
- Collect QC data, log data and evaluate results utilizing simple statistical tools to Monitor & Control the Process.
- Perform Optical inspection using standard documentation and procedures.
- Provide acceptance or rejection for compliance to established standards and processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams in analysing any issues that arise, from inventory through to the manufacture and service of the product.
- Raise quality issues on any process or product which is not conforming to requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to product and process quality.
- Managing Equipment Calibration & Verification according to the Work Instruction used for production process.
- Other quality related tasks as required.
Required Skills and experience:
- Knowledge and experience with QMS (ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or equivalent).
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated problem solving ability.
- A passion for precision and quality with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-driven, dependable, responsible, and willing to take ownership.
- Can plan and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Minimum 2 years’ Experience with In-process inspection of assembly line in Manufacturing environment. (Optical component experience is advantageous)
- Experience working with electronic QMS and ERP software.
- Experience with continuous improvement methods such as Kaizen, Lean and 5S.
