VCID No. 905591This is a permanent full-time position; fixed term and part time options may be considered.About Our Team:The Department of Oncology & Haematology at PCH provides a comprehensive service for WA children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders. The Department comprises an inpatient unit with beds designated for haemopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), a same day care unit, an outpatient clinic area with allied health facilities, a dedicated oncology pharmacy, a research and clinical trials office, and an administrative office.The Department is a member of the Childrens Oncology Group (COG), and our multidisciplinary teams work in collaboration with international centres to participate in groundbreaking research and clinical trials to ensure children and adolescents have access to cutting edge treatments including cellular therapies.About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to establish and manage our quality management system, ensuring our services meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.Reporting to the Manager Cancer and Blood Disorders Program, you will oversee quality, regulatory, and accreditation activities governing our paediatric clinical cancer services and cellular therapy products, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.You will engage with cellular therapy clinical program leads, consultants, clinical nurse specialists, laboratories, and external Quality Managers from other health services providers to develop and implement quality improvement and risk management strategies. You will coordinate service-wide improvement activities through audits, risk assessments, and gap analysis to facilitate improvements in safety, quality, deliver clinical governance activities, and address operational and quality issues.If you are an experienced professional with a passion for quality management in clinical settings, we encourage you to apply for this pivotal role.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage quality, regulatory, and accreditation activities for paediatric clinical cancer services and cellular therapy products to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Provide quality assurance for the cellular therapy (stem cell transplant) clinical program, including CAR-T therapy, apheresis program, and departmental safety and quality in NSQHS standards.
  • Conduct and manage audits and accreditation processes, such as FACT accreditation every three years, and implement any changes to standards.
  • Train and educate staff on legislative changes, updating SOPs, work instructions, and guidelines.
  • Maintain and update our document library, including reporting to bodies, and completing audits
