About the COMPANY
APT (Advanced Polymer Technology) is the leading global manufacturer of polyurethane-based materials, acrylic coatings and synthetic turf products for sporting and recreational applications. As part of our ongoing advancement of our business, we are looking for a full time Quality Manager to join our team based in Dandenong South.
About the ROLE:
Ensure that processes needed for the Integrated Management System (IMS) accreditation are established, implemented and maintained. Ensure all products manufactured by APT Asia Pacific meet the quality acceptance criteria.
Ensure all staff are inducted into the IMS in relation to their own Roles and Responsibilities. Improve overall efficiency in the plant to improve process flow. Ensure that all Suppliers used by the Company are selected, evaluated and re-evaluated and that records of this assessment.
RESPONSBILITIES
- Maintenance of IMS documentation, including:
- Policies and Forms
- CPAR register
- Customer Complaint register
- Quality Records
- Calibration Logs
- Production Specifications
- Laboratory Procedures
- Design Control Documentation
- Internal Audits
- Be a strong contributor in the Continuous Improvement of APT Asia Pacific’s ISO system.
- Act as the Management Representative for APTA’s ISO 9001 Certification.
- Research and develop new products under the direction of the Director of Operations.
- Ensure that a documentation control procedure is adopted to approve, review, and update all changes to critical documents within the scope of the IMS.
- Ensure that records are established and maintained to provide evidence that the IMS is being followed and that there is a system in place for the identification, storage, protection, retrieval, retention time and disposition of such records.
- Ensure that the performance of the IMS is reviewed at planned intervals to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness. This review means assessing opportunities for improvement and the need for changes to the QMS.
- Report on the performance of the IMS and any need for improvement.
About YOU:
You will be tertiary qualified in Chemistry. Alternatively, or additionally, tertiary qualifications in manufacturing or Environment Management or Sustainability will be highly regarded. We seek a candidate well versed in ISO 9001 and able to advise the business in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. Previous experience with ISO 14001 (Optional). Knowledge of related regulatory requirements is essential. Furthermore, we seek a true influencer who takes initiative and pride in what they are doing, client focused and a team player. A strong influencer who has strong stakeholder management skills and has strong experience in implementing new systems!!
