Job description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Quality, Risk and Compliance Officer at FOCUS Connects office in Campbelltown, New South Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our Quality System, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, staff training, external accreditation requirements, and providing administrative support to the Infosec Team and Management. This role also involves actively participating in the implementation of ISO27001 standards and other industry regulations. Additionally, the incumbent will oversee the administration of various digital platforms including SharePoint, Website, VisualCare, client database (CDS), as well as contribute to the development of promotional material.

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of quality management systems

- Familiarity with social care industry standards

- Excellent attention to detail

- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)

- Experience with SharePoint administration is desirable

- Good understanding of ISO27001 or similar information security management systems

- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively

- Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain FOCUS Connects' Quality System by reviewing existing policies, procedures, processes regularly and conversing with management for approval
  • Develop new policies or update existing ones based on changes in regulations or organisational needs.
  • Conduct staff training sessions on quality measures including ISO27001 compliance.
  • Provide guidance on quality-related matters to employees at all levels.
  • Ensure compliance with external accreditation requirements by coordinating necessary audits or inspections.
  • Collaborate with Infosec Team to strengthen information security practices within the organisation.
  • Assist Management in developing organiszational policies and procedures aligned with industry standards.
  • Oversee administration of SharePoint platform including content updates and user access management.
  • Manage FOCUS Connects' website content ensuring it reflects accurate information about services offered.
  • Coordinate client database maintenance activities such as data entry, regular backups, and data cleansing.
  • Review visually appealing promotional material such as flyers to support marketing initiatives.

Risk Management:

  • Lead risk committee meetings to review operational and organisational risk registers.
  • Maintain Risk Register and risk reporting to management.
  • Determine effective treatment plans for identified risks and ensure their completion.
  • Manage incidents and complaints, directing controls to continuous improvement cycles as necessary
  • Manage complaints reported to regulatory bodies, ensuring proper action plans are implemented
  • Conduct investigations for external complaints or reportable incidents alongside relevant Manager.

Essential Criteria:

  • Cleared National Criminal History check (or willing to obtain)
  • Current and valid Working With Children Check clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Business Administration)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality management or compliance role
  • Knowledge of ISO27001 or similar information security management systems
  • Experience with SharePoint administration is preferred
  • Strong understanding of social care industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality
  • Knowledge of Aged Care Services, Aged Care standards, NDIS Services, NDIS standards
