ROLE OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate should possess experience in DAS design, planning, and optimization, familiarity with iBwave Design and CAD software, field experience in pre and post-coverage surveys, commissioning, and fault finding of DAS systems, as well as a broad knowledge of Radio Access technologies including 3G, 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, PMR, and DMR, along with proficiency in using RF equipment such as TEMS, NEMO, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Analyzer, PIM testers, CW, and modulated RF transmitters.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Identify customer requirements and communication roadblocks in the design of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) to achieve coverage using off-air repeaters, small cells, and enterprise-grade Pico cells.
- Install, maintain, and commission communication architecture, including in-building Cellular (IBC), antennas, AC mains power, GPS, and fiber transmission.
- Integrate new infrastructure and ensure acceptance, conduct site surveys, and arrange coverage verification testing following established procedures.
- Perform site investigations and testing, including co-locations and DAS augmentation, Passive Intermodulation (PIM) and fault investigation, maintenance, and corrective works.
- Support and execute specialized technical functions related to coverage solutions such as PIM testing, walk testing (coverage surveys), and operation and maintenance of test equipment.

- Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
- Technical and practical experience in DAS design, planning, and optimization, particularly with multi-carrier mobile networks.
- Proficiency with iBwave Design and CAD software is highly desirable.
- Field experience in pre and post-coverage surveys, commissioning, and fault-finding of DAS systems.
- Broad knowledge of Radio Access technologies including 3G, 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, PMR, and DMR.
- Familiarity with Radio Access infrastructure such as Passive DAS, Active DAS, off-air repeaters, small cells, and Wireless Access Points (WAP).
- Experience using RF equipment including TEMS, NEMO, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Analyzer, PIM testers, CW, and modulated RF transmitters.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to internal and external parties.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and persistence in problem-solving.
- Familiarity with a production environment.
- Radio/RF/Telecommunications Engineer experience and/or minimum Cisco CCNA qualification.
- Minimum 4-5 years' experience in mining, and oil & gas industry
