Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) is proud to be announced as the preferred organisation to deliver the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP). We are now seeking to engage an experienced RAM Manager to play a key role of the Systems Engineering function for the project.
Reporting directly to the System Safety & RAM Engineering Discipline Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of RAM engineers. Using the most efficient, safe and cost-effective delivery methods, you will be accountable for ensuring effective RAM systems are implemented and utilised, delivering business objectives and ensuring overall compliance.
This is a fulltime, permanent role, and you will be based at our office in Brisbane, QLD.

QTMP is the largest investment in new rollingstock in Queensland’s history. It includes the design, build, and maintenance of 65 brand new trains, design and build of manufacturing facilities and depots and a huge boost to local manufacturing and supply chain – a true legacy to be created for Queensland that you can be a part of!
About You:
- A degree qualification in engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years experience in leading RAM teams.
- Demonstrated railway rolling stock system and facilities RAM experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Extensive knowledge of rollingstock design, verification and operations
