About the role
As Ranger (Field Services), you will play a key role in protecting the natural assets found within Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park. Your role will focus on delivering predator and herbivore control and monitoring the effectiveness of control programs. You will be responsible for building relationships with external and internal stakeholders, partners and contractors, the safety of yourself and others, and facilitating research projects being undertaken within the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park. You will be implementing project plans on time and to budget including: organising and delivering control activities, collecting and managing monitoring data; supervising contractors, managing allocated expenditure and resources and preparing reports. This supportive team work collaboratively and implement biodiversity projects to high standards with a focus on working together.
We're looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in pest animal control techniques (preferably fox control) and monitoring (preferably remote cameras).
- Experience coordinating and managing small projects.
- Victorian Firearms (Longarm) Licence and experience using firearms safely for pest animal management is preferred.
