About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a 6-8 year PQE Property Lawyer to work as part of our high performing team that prides itself on providing commercial advice on all aspects of commercial property law for private and public sector clients. We work collaboratively with our clients to build strong, sustainable relationships. This is an opportunity to work closely with partners and clients, covering a spectrum of property development work to undertaking substantial property transactions, infrastructure projects and providing property advice.
Your primary duties include:
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating leases and contract documents
- Providing comprehensive advice to public and private sector clients throughout various stages of commercial property transactions.
- Representing private sector clients in navigating and responding to public procurement processes for land sales and acquisitions.
- Advising land owners in relation to the development of land including advising on development agreements and access licences
- Advising land owners in relation to title structuring and drafting easements, restrictions of use and positive covenants
- Advising on strata schemes and community schemes
- Assisting with providing due diligence and corporate support to our commercial team
About you
To be successful and thrive in this role, you will:
- Have broad-ranging property experience working as a Senior Associate in a commercial property or real estate team within private practice (6+ PQE)
- Strong academics, exceptional written and verbal communication
- Demonstrate outstanding drafting abilities, deliver legally sound solutions and exhibit meticulous attention to detail
- Show independence in thinking and adaptability to quickly grasp new concepts
- Adopt a client-centric and pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Be able to support partners with team development including mentoring junior team members and business development activities
- Be comfortable managing a high volume of matters and taking responsibility for those matters.
